A three-year-old painting at a low oak table with jars of coral and yellow paint
Ages 3 to 4

About the room

Twelve children and two teachers. The year is built around projects the children choose: a bakery, a hospital, the moon. Letters and numbers arrive inside the project, not on a worksheet.

What a day looks like

  • Morning meeting and the question of the day
  • Project time in small groups
  • Garden, lunch, rest, workshop

Twice a year we sit down with you for an hour about your child.

Parents ask

What is project-based learning?
The children pick a theme, a bakery or the moon, and the letters, numbers and science arrive inside it. No worksheets.
Will my child be ready for kindergarten?
Yes. Preschool children move into our kindergarten room when they are ready, and we tell you honestly where they stand twice a year.
How much outdoor time is there?
At least an hour and a half every day, in all weather short of a storm. Boots and waterproofs stay on the hook.

Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The program rides along to the visit form.

Come and see it

Come and see it for yourself.

A visit is forty minutes: the rooms, the garden, the kitchen at lunch, and all your questions. Tell us the room and the start you have in mind and we bring the right teacher.

Which room?Which room?
When would you start? When would you start?
A father lifting his laughing daughter into the air in a sunny park
